Hi Everyone,

It’s been a long since I have posted to my blog. I actually thought about starting a new one to focus more on pattern design, but I realized that it still relates to fashion. Most of my time has been spent on designing and printing fabric. It took me about six months to learn how to use Adobe illustrator which is the software that I use to create my pattern designs. I love to draw, paint and sew so my designs will include geometric, floral, and texture designs. I use www.spoonflower.com to print my fabric designs through my design library Just Lisa Designs.

Here’s one of my latest design projects.

I designed this flared skirt with a matching waistband.

Pictorial

My printed pattern design by Spoonflower.

I took my measurements and cut out the skirt pattern.

Sewing the side seams.

Adding the invisible zipper.

Thanks for reading my blog post.

I had no idea you could create your own patterns like that. I love the way it turned out – it looks very flattering!
